Workout Excuses

Monday, December 24, 2012

SparkCoach asked me today to blog about the most common excuses that keep me from working out.

1. I'm too tired. - Well, the more I work out, the less tired I will be. But I can pick a 5 or 10 minute workout for days when I'm really beat.
2. I don't have time. Again, the 5 or 10 minute programs show that there is always a few minutes for fitness.
3. It's too boring. - Doing exercise mindfully, like yoga or mindful walking meditation, helps; also I can watch TV while I'm on the treadmill.

Those are the main excuses I have. Honestly, if I get past the fatigue, I usually enjoy exercising and never regret doing it!

Merry Christmas to all :)

I also find once I get started, I enjoy the exercise. Sometimes it's hard to remember that.

I find on the nights I think I REALLY don't to work out and/or think I have the time, I usually wind up working out the longest! I started off thinking "ten minutes is ALL I'm doing tonight" but once I get moving, I keep adding more time. I think I get energized and the stress just drops away.

Best of luck to you!

I remember reading somewhere, something like, "there are 1,464 minutes in a day and you can't find 30 - 60 minutes to work out?" Lotta truth in that statement!
