60 day juice feast: finishing the feast

Sunday, December 23, 2012

So I am finished my juice feast. I have been eating again this last week. I eased my way back into food. Now I am in a battle of balance and over-indulgence. Which is exactly what I did not want to happen. I am taking a pro-active approach. I am going to continue juicing many times through the day. I am juicing about 3 16oz glasses now. I am working out an eating routine and schedule that will help me not over-eat and over-indulge. I want to eat a plant-based, whole food diet. I want to reduce my intake of all meats and dairy. I am looking into more recipes and books to help keep me motivated for change. I am excited to continue a healthy lifestyle. I am not exercising as much as I like and this must change! I want to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I want to work on strength training every other day 3-4 days a week. Fitting this into my schedule and making it a priority is the only way I will accomplish my goals. Happy juicing!

So happy for your success. Glad you are noticing what you like and don't like about your eating.
I like the primal blueprint book. It is where I got the interest in the Kettlebell. I got a 35 and worked it twice a week for a few months. I just got a 15 and a 25. I can do it all with the 15, so working on the 25.
My best to you on your journey as I take a break from SP.

Erin, what an excellent idea! My husband was into kettle bell training several and I mean several years ago. Perhaps if I get into it him and I will be able to do it together. That would be awesome!
Eenlingtening, thank you for your comment! I added you as a spark friend. I would love to know more about the type of specific cleanses you do.

    Be blessed! Shalom!

    Amazing journey you have accomplished.

I think your plan is a good one. There are so many great supportive teams out there. I am 2 weeks clean of all dairy and feel so much better.

I also need work on consistent exercise. So I wanted a bang for my buck so to speak and started kettlebell and it does just that. I started out small and am working my way up..still. The routines are all over youtube and the internet.
I found a 4 dvd pack on Amazon that is working good for me. Iron Core Kettlebell, by Sarah Lurie. I like that she gives a wee break in between sets and positions.
I also burn calories and that seems to really help in all areas too.

As you can see; I am excited for you on this new journey! You will do great.

    Blessings,
    Erin

Sweet! I just finished day 2 of an organic super juice detox cleanse. It sounds like you are juicing your own, which is great. I have done longer cleanses, too, but mine have always been focused on detoxifying the whole body. I am a vegetarian, so we have a lot in common. I wish you well on your journey! I would love to be friends too, if you want. Happy Holidays! emoticon
