Perseverance takes patience, but it reward me with more than I can ever imagine. Right now, I need to just keep going. Stick with things long enough, and eventually things will start to make sense. Thereafter, everything I do will have much more purpose and possibility. Even the things that used to confuse me will now suddenly click in a whole new way ~ and I'll be struck by a great idea that no one else has thought of yet ~ seriously? emoticon

Today I need to reduce my expectations for things may not work out exactly the way I want them to. If I'm prepared to be less than thrilled by the day's news, I'll end up happier than if I raise my hopes too high. After all, the higher my hopes, the greater the crash when they are dashed to the ground. This might seem like a pessimistic attitude to take, but it's not ~ it's just pragmatic. And pragmatism is going to help me stay on top when challenges arise.

Daily Journal ~ Another day of vacation ~ enjoyed breakfast with Geo at Mimi's Cafe then we went to a few stores looking for Christmas markdowns ~ didn't have much luck finding anything. Bought some sweat pants and slippers for Geo.

Daily Journal ~ why do I want to quit after just the 1st 5 min of the Peak workout ~ it wasn't until about 15 min in, I started to enjoy the workout ~ "Finish what I start" kept me going ~ Whew! Geo and I went to eat at our favorite Chinese buffet but I walked there to get some steps on my Fitbit ~ should have worn my ear muffs ~ it was a bit chilly but at least the sun was out. Signed up for the Rescue Run 5K scheduled for Jan 1st ~ my goal is to beat last year's time of 42 min

Best Motivation = dedicate each mile you jog (walk, bike or whatever) to an inspiring person ~ you'll never bong mid-workout again.
