Another 20

Saturday, December 22, 2012

A 20! Lost and found! Kind of ironic how I'd love to lose 20 pounds but it's not going anywhere too fast. In the meantime, I've found a total of $70 while adding up the miles in an effort to LOSE 20 pounds. I was happy to find a $20 bill neatly folded in half on the edge of a lawn on this very windy day while adding another 7 miles to my virtual walk across the country. I found a $50 bill while out walking on 8/6. It was in a grassy area near the side of the road.

In the past I've saved furniture from the trash. And there was the day I found a very nice set of professional colored pencils at an office park. Another time I found a wallet with identification and store cards (no credit cards or cash) --- I turned that into the police department. What have you found when on your travels outside?

A friend and I stumbled onto a wad of cash once, and saw a lady up ahead fumbling in her purse - we picked up the money and went running after the woman, and told her we thought she'd dropped some money. She started yelling at us to leave her alone, we offered her the money again, she threatened us, so we walked away and took ourselves out for a nice dinner. (We were just out of college, and it was about $40, so what could we do?)

Wow - I've never found paper money before. I'm usually thrilled with a nickle or a dime, since I usually only find pennies - and then only rarely!

Just pennies! But that to me is messages from my brother, so those are special finds to me.
