I came across another sparker's blog today. It was very insightful. She described how 10 extra calories per day can equal 1 pound per year but 100 extra calories per day can equal 10 pounds per year. This got me thinking. I wonder how many times this year that I went over my calorie goal and how many extra pounds that really cost me. Since I didn't log consistently in SP or on Myfitnesspal it's hard for me to give a good range. However, I do know that in the last 14 days I have been over 4361 calories. This equates to 311.5 calories more per day. Based on the calculation of another sparker that means that if I continue down this path this will equate to 30 extra pounds per year. WOW!
I have to be willing to change something. There isn't anyone who can do that for me. I have to be willing to either use SP's tracker or Myfitnesspal's tracker consistently. I also have to be willing not to go over my calories by 300 per day. I do not want to weigh 30 pounds more than I do right now.
However, on a side note, I've come to realize that I believe 118lbs is not reasonable. Therefore, once again, I will be changing my goal and my username. There is no reason to stress myself out over that number. This adds fuel to the fire for emotional eating and that is not necessary.
I am saying NO to 300 extra calories per day.
I am saying NO to 118lbs because that is not a reasonable goal.
