Lol, my Bible verse today was Mark 13:32 (No one knows the day or the hour...)... how appropriate for today!!

Well, my plans for yesterday went unfinished, as not long after I posted my blog, our power went out. The line snapped clean off the pole. So we walked down to find where it was, called the company, and they showed up within the hour. AND YET, we were without power for another 30 hours! Why, tell me why? We were the first to call, the first to be without power in our area, and it wasn't even raining yet when I called. So they waited until there was 70 mph winds and blowing snow to work on it. Growl. But it came on around 5pm tonight. Woo hoo!

Because of the storm, I've had to postpone my dinner. I'm bummed, but we'll plan it for after New Year's. This way I'm not stressing out trying to get everything cleaned up and food cooked and then people can't make it anyway because our road is too bad. I'm going to freeze the cheesecakes and just remake the jello salad. The power went out before I could make the cake anyway, so that can wait. Either way, I have a little more wiggle room.

Some of my gifts will be late because of the storm. But late gifts are better than no gifts, imho. My kids are too old to believe in the big red suited guy, so they'll get over it, I'm sure.

Anyway, hubs bought me a full-body massage for Christmas, which I had the luxury of enjoying today. It was amazing. My first professional massage, but certainly not my last. She told me to drink lots of water to make sure the toxins she released by manipulating my muscles were flushed out so I didn't feel bad, but I'm realizing why now... out of the blue, I got the worst headache and just overall yucky feeling. So I'm guzzling water now to flush out and feel better. But still, it was glorious!
