Resisting temptations

Just an update. Last week, I posted a blog about how awesome I feel eating a mostly clean diet, and how my boyfriend gave me 8 individually wrapped Russell Stover chocolates, and how I only ate one and put the rest away in the cabinet. I'm happy to report that I made 8 chocolates last 8 days! I didn't go back for a second chocolate. I wasn't itching to eat more. One was all I wanted.

Monday, my mom and I went up to Rochester to help move my sister back home. My sister is the exact opposite of me and eats tons of junk food. She brought home Oreos, Chips Ahoy, milk chocolate chips, tostitos, queso dip; basically a lot of things that would tempt me, and I would tell myself, "Okay, just have one" and one would turn into two, three, five, eight, ten, etc. I haven't touched the tostitos, queso dip or Oreos; however, I had one Chips Ahoy cookie, and I realized that they don't even taste good to me anymore! They taste like straight up chemicals. It's amazing how taste buds change! I did sneak a serving of chocolate chips, and they still do taste good to me, so I hid them from myself. Out of sight, out of mind. I AM FINALLY IN CONTROL! Christmas Eve should be interesting, but I'm not too worried. I feel good!
