My First Blog

I am a month into my new healthy lifestyle and everything seems to be going well. My cravings have mostly been curbed and my appetite has decreased. During this last month I have kept track of everything I have eaten. Because I am extremely overweight exercise is very hard on my body so I only started exercising last week. Now I have lower back pain that varies from slight to extreme from one day to the next so, needless to say, my activity has been very limited. It has thrown the proverbial wrench into my plans. Seen the doc today and got x-rays. I got an anti-inflammatory and I'm hoping that it will help so that I can get physical.
On a different note, my wife is making candies for Christmas. Yummm... emoticon Turtles, peanut clusters, candy cane pretzels, rice crispy treats, almond roca, peanut butter cookies with chocolate kisses and sugar cookies with icing... talk about temptation. Lol.. Gotta love her though. I decided I get to try at least one of each but I will spread them out over the holidays and always count them. emoticon Stay strong fellow sparkers the holidays will soon pass. Lol emoticon

    Great forward planning for the treats! You can do it!
You might want to check out some of the videos for seated exercise. It will help get you moving, but they have lower impact.
And remember, whatever exercise you do, do at your own pace!

    Especially now, I increase my cinnamon capsule intake as it helps a lot with the sugar and bad foods cravings

    Awesome plan on the goodies. As far as the exercise I would suggest you talk to your Dr and see what he recommends you start with. Then I echo the comments about the video's on this site that can be done from a chair. there are both cardio and strength which would both be good for you at this point.

    emoticon on your progress so far! Also, good luck with your plan of attack for the holidays. When you feel up to it, maybe try one of the SP seated workout videos. Those are pretty short workouts and you do them sitting down. emoticon
