Holiday Planning

We leave for Pennsylvania on Friday after work. I am thinking about my food and exercise plan now and writing it down so that I have to stay committed. If I tell all of you, I will be held accountable!

Friday, December 21 - gym (elliptical from 5am-6am), normal food day

Saturday, December 22 - outdoor run (morning), light breakfast, lunch is the holiday dinner at my husbands grandparents (I promise to be good), dinner is my aunts holiday party (light hors' douevres and alcohol - going to save up for this)

Sunday, December 23 - gym with brother (morning), light breakfast, lunch is the holiday dinner at my husbands aunts house (going to try very hard to be good), most likely I will not eat dinner.

Monday, December 24 - outdoor run (morning), light breakfast, holiday dinner at my parents house, then we are heading home to Maryland!

I can't make a definite plan because I don't know what food will exactly be offered, but I am going to take small portions for sure. I am also going to continue to work on eating slower.

My main goal is to workout everyday while on vacation! I can't get off of my routine just because I am not at my gym or even when I am home when the gym is closed.

Making Today Count!

P.S. - my husband is using Spark now too! emoticon

    You will do Great - hope your travel is good - there is certainly a lot of flooding up here. Crazy wet, huh?

    You have a GREAT workout plan!

Small portions and consciously choosing to eat slowly should help a lot with keeping the calories under control. Make healthy food choices, and focus on enjoying the family and I'm sure you will do just fine this week.

I'm excited for you that your hubby has joined Spark! It's so great to be making healthy choices TOGETHER!

now... may I suggest you eat heaps of salad before you go to some of these places for food! I never rely on others food...usually it's stuff that will derail me from my goals and I don't really love it. So if I eat a big salad before (and bring one along to share wink wink) I am filled with things that usually are lacking there! :) I also pop a couple protein bars in my bag as well. As I don't eat anything that had hair or eyelashes, I am usually prepared and expect to find NOTHING I want at people's houses...if I do, I get excited...but usually you can find protein and a carb! LOL
So...maybe rethink the plan a little to be more in control. It is possible. :) SAVE YOUR SPLURGE FOR SOMETHING you really really love!!!! And challenege everyone to a walk in the winter wonderland afterwards!!! :)
