The Rules for Being Human Handed Down from Ancient Sanskrit

Thursday, December 20, 2012

I found insight needed to re-align my attitude after weathering challenging situation in these simple rules. I thought I would share them in hopes they will uplift someone else. Happy Solstice!

1) You will receive a body (you may like it or not, but it will be yours for this lifetime, one lesson to learn is to love and cherish the body that one has)

2) You will learn lessons (you are enrolled in a full-time school called "LIFE". Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may or may not like these lessons)

3) There are no mistakes, only lessons (growth is a process of trial and error/experimentation. Ultimately there is no failures, just learning what does and does not work in one's life experiences.)

4) A lesson is repeated until it is learned. (a lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it - then you can go on to the next lesson

5) Learning lessons does not end. (There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned
6) Where you are, right now, is exactly the perfect place for you to be. (since we are all creating our reality constantly, we need to always remember that everything can and does change)

7) Others are merely mirrors of you. (however you feel about another person is ultimately reflected in how you feel about yourself)

8) What you make of your life is ultimately up to you. (you have all the tools and resources you need, to create whatever you want)

9) The answers lie inside you. (the answers to life's questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen and trust)
