I went grocery shopping yesterday: I am at my parents' house, so I decided to take the reins, so to speak, so that I could get the food I wanted. And talked to my dad about what we would have for supper today and tomorrow, so that I know what I'm going to be eating. This is such a breakthrough for me - part of it is working towards weight loss (hopefully) or weight maintenance (more likely) throughout the holiday season - the other part is being able to say what I want, and then get it - which is something that will serve me over the holidays and at anytime. The lesson learned from this experience is to get in my vegetables whenever I can, because I'll feel full after I eat them, and feel good, do some SP videos when it's cold out, and ask for what I want, because if I don't ask then I will never receive.
