Changed my goal...and that's OK

Thursday, December 20, 2012

I have lost 16 lbs and I am proud. My goal was to lose about 23 by New Years and that isn't likely going to happen.

The last couple weeks have been frustating. I want to move to a different place because I don't like the neighbors I have below us in the apt. They are too loud and it stresses me out. I looked at a different place that I really like, but I found out that I cannot get out of my lease agreement right now.

The weather now is not permitting me to get outside to exercise either. Too cold, or icy, or the sun goes down too early and I don't feel comfortable walking in the dark. For Christmas, my mom got us passes to the community Rec Center, so hopefully we find the time to get some exercise together as a family.

I believe that my new goal is attainable...and I forgive myself for not reaching the old goal. I have gotten this far...I will keep pushing!!!

Getting to the rec will be good for you especially since it's cold where you are. And try not to let the neighbor thing get to you too much. Hope you can find a new place soon though, Good Luck!!!

Good for you for focusing on what you HAVE done. You should be proud - 16 pounds is an amazing feat! And there's always next year to continue with your final goal.

That's most important -- be kind to yourself and flexible! You've done a great job! emoticon
