I have fallen off the wagon so badly!

Thursday, December 20, 2012

This is my tale of woe. I gained 2.7 kgs in the fortnight before, and gained another .9 this week. So bad. So out of control with eating,

What am I going to do?

Have Christmas and get back on track.

That is what I am going to do.

Have a great Christmas everyone. I will be away from home but will have Christmas with my 2 daughters and families in Sydney. When we get home, will have a celebration with my 2 sons and their families.

Take care of yourselves. I will post when I can, while I am away.

Glad to hear from you. Had been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing.
This is a tough time of year with so many gatherings focussing on food. What you're experiencing isn't unique to you but experience by many of us, including me. I haven't been on the scale for over a week for fear of the tale it will tell. I've decided that it'll be okay to eat treats and foods I have been avoiding most of the year. I know I am not binging on them like I would have before so feel I am being reasonable. After the holiday season I am planning to get right back to pre-season levels of sparking and back "on the wagon" moving forward at full tilt. I have managed to stay committed to my fitness schedule so far. I think we need to look at the positive changes over past Christmases and not be too hard on ourselves when we are side tracked by treats and a few decadent meals.
I hope for you you won't find it too difficult to get back into routine after the holidays. I know that's always been my down fall in years past but I know it'll be different this time. I will be ready in January with new goals to get at it again.
Have fun with the kids and grandkids.

Happy Christmas! (And don't let falling off the wagon turn into a major binge - you can enjoy your holiday without going crazy, right?)

I feel like I'm in the same boat! We can just get through these days with the best we can and we know that it HAS to be better then our best with the holidays before! It's because we know all about SP and all their tricks of the trade! I've put on around 5# this last week and before so I hear you. When these holidays are all over, we'll get back into full swing of tracking once again and yet we know that we did better than we ever have before during the holidays! emoticon emoticon emoticon
Happy Holidays to you! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

There's always another wagon to come along and pick us back up :) Life happens, especially at holiday time. We just have to do the best we can, when we can, to try to help make up for those other times that we can't do as well :)

You can do this!

You may have fallen, but you CAN get up!! Enjoy your time with family but don't let it become an excuse for wallowing on the floor. Holidays and family gatherings seem fraught with traps to pull us down. You are stronger!!- your plan says so..

Drink your water, do some visiting over a jigsaw puzzle or board game or a walk , idleness leads to mindless eating
New days, New Years ~~ all new starts with stronger choices. After the holidays you will be back on track in no time
