1. Talking - I have found that talking to someone about the stresses in my life often help me to "hear" myself and realize that they are not as bad as I thought. You have to be careful WHO you talk to though, because some people might make you feel worse about your situation! I try to talk to positive, Christian people who almost always point me to God and prayer.
2. Blogging/Journaling - I guess in some ways it's the sameas the 1st one, especially on here when we get feedback from others, but often just the act of getting it out of my head and written in black and white takes the stress out of it.
3. Focusing on the positives in my life
4. Accomplishing tasks (even small unrelated ones) often get my mind off the the main stressors in my life
This week, I have gotten the Christmas tree up, the stockings filled and hung and some presents wrapped. It has relieved some stress! I have been focusing on the positives and also trying to make some memories with my youngest son while other family members have been out of town and I have talked to others about some small things that have been bothering me. All that combined, seems to have had me having a pretty stress free week!
