I don't know about everyone else, but when winter hits and the sun disappears, I feel slightly depressed. I lose my motivation and my drive to succeed and I just want to lay around and cuddle under my blankets.
I'm super determined this year, though. I refuse to be lazy, and I refuse to give up. I'm not going to lay around my house making excuses to not eat healthy or exercise.
I have a plan...
Monday - Workout at the gym with Dad
Tuesday - Zumba
Wednesday - Rest Day
Thursday - At home workout (Insanity, Zumba, Sparkpeople Cardio...)
Friday - At home workout
Saturday - At home workout
Sunday - Rest Day
Obviously, this could change a little bit .. but my plan is to workout at least 5 days per week for at least 30 minutes at a time.
If I can make it through these winter months, I can make it through any month.
My newest mini goal was to be at 175 by Christmas, but I have been battling a plateau for about a month. There's still a good chance that I could make it there by Christmas, but I've decided to extend the date to January 8th which is my birthday.
My biggest goal for this year was to be able to put a lower weight on my license when I get it renewed in January, and I've already beat that by about 10 pounds so I'm super excited about that. :)
I have accomplished too much this year to let these winter blues get me down and ruin my goals. I'm determined to LOSE weight rather than gain or stay the same. If anything, just no gain. I think it's quite an accomplishment to not gain during the holidays, but I'd prefer to at least lose a couple of pounds.
Anyway ... here's to the winter months .... let's kick their butts! :)
