Just Had to Share

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

I received this from a friend this morning & it did not have the author's name.

Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas
at God's house."
when what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"may this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"come now my children, let me show you around."
excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
and I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

thank you for taking the time to share. this wonderful poem showing Gods love for his Children.
I wondered how God To allow this to happen when i heard it on the news As I took time to think it came to me some how his gun jammed and the police began to arrive he turned his gun on him self I feel God decided enough and jammed the gun the news reports that he enough to kill the entire school..
Thanks again for the wonderful poem we need to be reminded the love God has for each of us we often need to be reminded of his love emoticon emoticon it reminded me of a poem i was sent 20 years ago when I lost my Uncle on Nov 8 1992 and my dad 12/19/92 it another author unknown poem that helped me deal with the loss

My First Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heavenís stars, reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music canít compare
with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, we really arenít apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones, you know I hold you dear.
And be glad Iím spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
(This poem written by Ben, a 13 y.o. who fought brain tumor for 4 years and died just before Christmas... He gave this poem to his mom before he died.)
I found in four Spark blogs as well

What a beautiful thought that these children are happy and excited to be in heaven and have no memory of the horrible event that occurred.
