I love Christmas. I really do.
I almost let fear of Holiday weight gain and progress loss ruin it for me this year.
Now that I have taken a deep breath and am allowing myself to enjoy it a bit, while still trying to be mindful, I feel loads better.
I have managed to keep the gain under control thus far and feel more confident that I can continue to do so. In fact I lost a half a pound since Monday so my weight is actually holding steady.
I vow to continue to keep fitting in fitness minutes where I can and enjoy my treats while limiting the amounts.
Monday my best friend and I finally made it Longwood. It was very foggy, but the fog rather added to the magic. I wish I could have gotten pictures of the outdoor lights but my iPod camera is simply not good enough to combat the dark and fog. I suggest, for those of you who have never been, doing a Google image search. So very pretty. The best part is that she has a family membership so I got in free!
There was a lovely Hand Bell concert in the Conservatory and we left there filled with a warm Holiday glow and raised spirits.
Positives: Much walking around the grounds. We even childishly skipped around the fountains at one point to warm our blood!
Negatives: None big enough to be significant, my lunch was a little too big, but not horrid.

Tuesday: One of my friends came by for a bit and we shared some wine and a snack. After she left I prepped the makings for tonight's beef stew. I did not motivate to get to the grocery store like I had planned but really when I assessed my fridge; I found I did not need to yet. My Sciatica was paining me a bit.
Positives: I did 30 wall pushups. I also did a mile on the treadmill just before bed. Veggie snack instead of junk food in the evening.
Negatives: A few too many sweet treats at work. (the Holiday gift baskets are Evil)
This morning I had a lovely surprise of having dropped a half a pound. I am still above my lowest so I can't count it in my overall loss; however it reassures me that my damage control measures are working! Yay!
