Holiday Treats

I'll admit I've been slacking a bit as of late. I am still exercising like mad but there are SO many holiday foods available right now...I've been indulging a bit while slacking on keeping track using my food diary. If it weren't for the hard core exercising I would have definitely gained a bit of weight.

It is SO easy to go back to snacking. Too easy...

So here is yet another start-over again moments *sigh*

Friends and family have brought lots of treats into the house and I've been baking stuff. I want everyone to be able to enjoy and indulge. I don't want to prevent others from enjoying holiday stuff so I am dusting off my self-control again...LOLZ

The hardest treats to avoid are the bowls of holiday candy. I still LOVE candy way too much. But again, I am not gonna throw everything out or put everything away. I want everyone to enjoy the season.

It was fun to get into the kitchen and start baking again. Several friends have remarked how much they had missed all of the cakes and pies. I don't have any trouble passing up baked goods so having them around is fine...again it is the candy that calls to me...

This is my first Christmas since "going healthy" so it is a bit of a test. I am still losing weight at a slow and steady pace, but the struggle is still there and this time of year the temptations are rife.
