Today was my husband's funeral. It went very well and I think he would have liked it. It was all about him, his love of Hot Rods and Classic Cars, bikes, (almost) all things American, his woodwork and his making things out of aluminium or stainless steel, to HIS design, and completely by hand, and which worked very well. It was also about his many times of getting up to a bit of no good, that also doubled as really funny. The weather held out, altho' it was very hot and humid. It is just as well that it didn't rain because about 100 people were outside listening to the little relaxing waterfall in the back-ground as the service was being relayed to them via a speaker. There were about 200 people there to say good-bye to him, and I think he would have been stoked to have seen so many.
My older grandson is with me, which is really good for both of us. We are o.k.
