Nope, not going with my 30 day thing as I don’t have that much time to think. Besides Day 18 and 19 fit nicely together.
So, let me tell you about the craziness that occurred after I got off work. As I got on the freeway to come home, I noticed that it was a bit more of a bumpy ride than normal. Pull over at the next exit and inspect my car. Boy does my tire look interesting. Apparently my tire went flat and this is the resulting outcome…
After waiting for Triple A to come and change to my spare (it was flat and I’m not strong enough to tighten/loosen the nuts), hubby drives me home with my BIL following (he drove my husband to me since we are a one car family now – other BIL is using my hubby’s car since his truck is broken). The three of us talk a bit and since some movie theaters offer discount tickets on Tuesday, its decide to go see a movie (one that will start in less than an hour). The choices are Skyfall and Cloud Atlas with Cloud Atlas being their top choice. I looked at the synopsis of the movie and it didn’t interest me. I did the math and figured I could see the second Twilight again (movie would start an hour later than theirs, but we’d get out near the same time), or I could stay home and do some baking for two potlucks I had the next day (Wednesday). Well, BIL was buying tickets and said he was fine paying for me to see a separate movie, so I tagged along. My thoughts on Breaking Dawn part 2 – I wish they talked a bit more about her becoming a vampire and everyone’s reaction to her first few minutes like the book; however, I loved the battle sequence they add at the end, especially since key people die, but at the same time, you got to see some key players kick butt. And then to find out that it was all Alice’s vision comes at a surprise. I actually wish Stephenie wrote it into the book.
Well, movie was over and then it was time to come home and bake a pie and two sets of muffins (okay, three flavors, but there were only 6 of each, so 2 were able to combine on one pan). Kind of made me wish I didn’t go see the movie as it resulted in being up over an hour past my normal bed time (and since I’m getting up earlier, that equals less sleep), but it allowed me to get a shower in as well, since hubby was home and could watch the oven long enough for me to pop in without worrying about something burning, and it was nice seeing a movie I enjoyed.
Oh, interesting fact about the movie my husband and BIL went to see – hubby actually stayed in his seat the whole time. And let me tell you, for being an ADHD person who can barely sit still, that is an accomplishment. Normally he goes to the bathroom in the middle or just goes to the side and paces. I’m shocked to find him in his seat at the end of the movie. In fact, the last time he remembers doing it, was when Serenity was in theaters (back in 2005). BIL also said it was only the second movie he’s seen twice in theaters (the second also being Serenity). Hmm, I’m sensing a connection between these two and movies.
Okay, bed time. See you all tomorrow!!!
