Rambling....Again. :)

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

Another week gone and another week closer to Christmas.

I have to say, DD1's drama play is over. This past weekend, we went to see the last night's performance and she was in the third leading role. She did fantastic. Her counterpart had lots of lines and forgot what to say in their scene a couple of times and she covered it perfectly. Bravo! I am so proud of her. She was sad it was the last night though. She had so much fun.

I have to give myself a pat on the back too. I had to do DD1's hairstyle in the 1940's era. After 52 hairpins and lots of hairspray...Voila! She looked fabulous. Her teacher was quite pleased with her do.

As for the other children of mine, things are going tickety boo. I mentioned to them, that although DD1 is taking up more of my attention, their turn will come for other things that come up in the future.

I am plunking along here. I did some major shovelling here this morning and I think that was a mistake. Sure enough, my shoulder is protesting that morning activity. Yet, I had to get the sidewalk shovelled. Why? There is a Mother that walks her children to school and walks past our house. I didn't want them falling, slipping or anything else infront of my house. So, the sidewalk was shovelled. She has five little ones. I think she runs a dayhome.

I guess I'm the one that has to make the cookies and tarts and cheesecake for Christmas day. My Mom is too busy taking care of my Dad and also her two brothers are coming out for a week for Christmas week.

Busy, busy busy.

Tonight, my children decorated the Christmas tree by themselves as I watched and pointed out an odd place here or there that could use an ornament. My son is so tall, he was a real help with the high stuff.

Well, I best be going and spend the rest of the night with my family.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Isn't it great having musical children? :) They put so much work into their performance and it's such a gift to watch them on stage. Enjoy your Christmas my friend!

i am so glad the play went well, she must have a calling for acting, I bet you are so proud of her. As always you are very busy, and not t o mention with christmas around the corner. Can't believe how fast time is just flying! Be careful with your shoulder, relax a bit and maybe get a massage once in a while. It was very nice of you to shovel the snow for that family, but then again you are naturally nice! I wish we would get snow in Houston, at least for christmas, but it's super hot here! Anyways, don't want to take too much of your time, have a wonderful christmas with your family! emoticon

You must be so proud of your daughter. I am impress that the other children are ready to blow instead of already complaining. LOL! It was thoughtful of you to give a kind reminder that you are aware of DD1 getting more attention and why. Their day will come.
I hope your shoulder feels better. No snow here for sometime now. I hope it stays that way. Fingers crossed.
Best of luck with the baking.

hugs, Anne

So you got to be the Director for the family play of decorating the tree. Good, you needed some down time but you were still involved. Take care of that shoulder. Sounds like you have a budding thespian on your hands. It's great when they find something to really sink their teeth into.

I'm glad your daughters play was a success!! I wish I had someone to help with the tree. My husband puts it up but I have to decorate. We haven't gotten any snow yet but it is predicted for later in the week. We have broken all kinds of records because we always have snow by now. I hope the rest of the holidays are smooth sailing and that your shoulder feels better!! emoticon
