Chapter Completed

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Well I guess I can say job completed, finishing up a chapter in my educational pursuit. Took my final, burned some brain cells and exhaled. I wanted to call my Mom so bad and tell her finally, I just lifted my hand to heaven and said a prayer. I walked around my new four bedroom, two car garage Christmas present and looked for which wall I wanted to start as my achievement wall. On to my next big thing. One small step to lead to big rewards, big gains. I am hoping graduate school won't be as daunting as taking x amount of years to finish off this undergrad stuff. Although I completed my course requirements nine years ago, this competency in math has eluded my for this time period.

I am so glad I took the plunge in January, found a teacher that I could learn from, buckled down and did homework(not all of it) and just knuckled down and went to task. Feeling kind of bittersweet now, not really in a celebratory mood, but yet just enjoying the exhale.

Very Well Done! Go ahead and celebrate your success! If we don't celebrate our successes, who will? I love your idea of an achievement wall! I think, no, I know that I'm going to follow your lead and make an achievement wall of my own. You can still share your achievements with your Mom, just look up and say, Mom, I did it! and I bet a smile will come over your face. You are such an inspiration! emoticon emoticon

Congratulations! Way to go! I so understand how you feel. I received my doctorate in 2010 and it was quite daunting at times. But, the one thing that kept me going were the following 2 statements:

1. Anything worth having is worth getting!
2. If it was easy, then everyone would have a doctorate degree!

So, great job and keep reaching for your life goals! emoticon
