My challenge for today was to list my recipes - I'm only considering dinner recipes.

I have 3 main categories of recipes...

1) Ones that are fast and simple to make and are ready in less that 40 minutes (since that's how long the rice usually takes)
2) Ones that are involved but can be frozen for easy re-heating
3) Ones that take a long time to make and are generally saved for the weekend

Category 1:
steamed veggies - spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, beets, beans, peas, etc
Grilled meat - Chicken, or pork with lemon pepper , Montreal steak spice or another seasoning. I love the panini maker/grill I just wish it wasn't such a pain to clean.
BBQ - not as much in the winter, but my favorite way to cook beef and peppers - peppers usually done with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I also love cedar plank salmon.
Stir fry - fish & veggies with soy sauce, fresh ginger & garlic

Category 2:
Soups - squash with curry and coconut milk, squash with green pepper and cheese, pea soup with ham, Vegetable beef stew (beef soup bone + turnip, squash & cabbage)
Chili - dried beans taste so much better than canned...
Spaghetti sauce with zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, onion, ground beef
Cabbage rolls
Belgian stew - beef, beer/wine, onions, balsamic vinegar

Category 3)
Anything that takes more than 40 minutes to prepare. Roasts, homemade pasta (it takes me a long time because I'm not very good at it), curry, etc

Usually we have rice or pasta with dinner. I like potatoes but the DH isn't a fan, so they don't come up very often. Barley is alright but I have to be making something with sauce to go with it.

I'm always on the look out for more meals that can be frozen! Let me know if you have any suggestions. :D

    I don't have any recipes, I just wanted to say I respect the fact you have 3 categories. I have category 1, occasionally category 2, and almost never category 3. And I have nothing to do but cook. You're motivating me to stop eating processed food and actually make something!
