#115 - Just a Blog.

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

I probably should do my update from last week, but I'm not happy with how my weekend went. Instead, I decided to show you all what I bought myself as a reward for losing 20 pounds.

I bought this shirt off of . It was only $10, but I fed 16 girls in Uganda. (They have shirts for $20 that feed $30 girls in Uganda.) I loved the idea that I was rewarding myself while also helping others out.

Anyways, I haven't really been in the mood to exercise or eat healthy. I've had some emotional things going on, and it's really put me in a mini funk. When I took the picture, I felt good about myself (somewhat), but here's what really hit home for me:

When I put these two photos side by side, I am blown away. Not because I am successful but because I have committed to this lifestyle and I stuck to it even when it was tough. I never gave up (ok, maybe for a week or so, but I always came back). This is the FIRST time that I have ever stayed this committed to this journey. I never thought I would be able to continue on this path, but I am so grateful I did.

Please don't EVER think for one moment that you aren't making a difference in your life. Spend time on yourself because you DESERVE it. When things get tough, keep going. You may not be losing weight on the scale, but you are giving what your body deserves, and it will reward you in the end.

Fantastic! It's so easy to lose sight of the little wins, but when you add 'em all up you get to that before-after picture and it all makes sense. Keep up the great work!

You look A-Mazing!! I know I get that way too, seems like I'm stuck in a rut and not getting anywhere, then I see comparison pictures and I'm like, wow! I bet no one mistakes you for being pregnant now, that's for sure. emoticon Love the shirt too, that's awesome. I did something similar this month in which I purchased necklaces for my 2 new adopted cousins I get to meet next week that my aunt and uncle are currently picking up in Africa. The company that I bought the necklaces from donate the proceeds to missions in Africa, so I love that I'm buying them something unique and special that they will enjoy and at the same time, helping others from the same continent they are from.

Keep up with the positive thinking! You look great and you deserve it as you've worked hard.

Sam, I absolutely love, love, LOVE this blog! How inspiring! I've been feeling funk-ish again too this week(eating cr@ppy Sunday and yesterday), and kept telling myself it's okay to continue the cr@ppy eating to Christmas, which makes nooo sense. Reading this is just what I needed to remind myself to stay w/ it and track today and make smart choices.

I LOVE the idea of those tee-shirts.

Your picture blew me AWAY! You are soo tiny! :D Amazing job girl.

Sorry to hear you are in a mini funk, but if you ever need to vent to someone just send me a message! I know how that goes. Sometimes we just need someone to vent to about life that wont judge. :) It will pass though! Keep on keepin' on, girlie!
