Well here I am on the treadmill (fairly bright and early). I have the treadmill TV on Rachael Ray, the iPad playing Michael Buble Christmas songs and I am writing this blog at 3.0 MPH. I guess I am a SLIGHT multitasker...LOL
I usually go to the gym in the afternoon but I have decided to start my steps as the first thing I do each day -- from this point on. I achieved my goal of 10,000 steps yesterday with the help of my exercise partner Zip. Zip and I have a plan to really increase that number today...stay tuned...if I hit that magic number...the whole world will know.
The numbers on the treadmill drive me CRAZY. They never move fast enough for me (before you tell me to speed it up....this is the fastest I can go with my trick knee) the distance and time seem to drag....on...and....on....and on....
So...my new approach is the opposite of Mindful Eating....it is Mindless Walking. This can best be achieved with music, the treadmill TV, the internet, Sparkpeople website...and of course...FACEBOOK!!
Hey, this is fun! The iPad blocks the display so those slow-poke little numbers don't look at me.
I'll let you know how this experiment turns out.
