I've been in a bit of a funk lately and have struggled with getting my mojo back. My eating got off track and that led to cravings. Indulging a craving every now and then is good, in my opinion. Indulging cravings back to back, then repeat...not so good. Skip a workout or two in addition to that, we're talkin' trouble. Three pounds of trouble.
It will be challenging enough to reach my goal as it is, but if I keep making poor choices, the challenge only becomes greater and my goal further away. Today was the turning point. I ate perfectly today. Yeah me!
I was feeling rather proud of myself when I logged my food and saw the results on my daily feed back. Then came the self talk, "Alright! Job well done! It's getting late and I've been up since 4am, I got a REALLY good workout in yesterday, sleep is important too, I can take today as a rest day, tomorrow I can double up on my hike, the weather is supposed to be nicer anyway." Then I started stalking blogs. The tune of the self talk changed, "I've got plenty of time and energy to get a 30 minute workout in." Thank goodness there are some motivated, optimistic people who took the time to spread their spark, because they inspired me to hit the treadmill for 40 minutes! Hello mojo!
