I've been in a bit of a funk lately and have struggled with getting my mojo back. My eating got off track and that led to cravings. Indulging a craving every now and then is good, in my opinion. Indulging cravings back to back, then repeat...not so good. Skip a workout or two in addition to that, we're talkin' trouble. Three pounds of trouble.

It will be challenging enough to reach my goal as it is, but if I keep making poor choices, the challenge only becomes greater and my goal further away. Today was the turning point. I ate perfectly today. Yeah me!

I was feeling rather proud of myself when I logged my food and saw the results on my daily feed back. Then came the self talk, "Alright! Job well done! It's getting late and I've been up since 4am, I got a REALLY good workout in yesterday, sleep is important too, I can take today as a rest day, tomorrow I can double up on my hike, the weather is supposed to be nicer anyway." Then I started stalking blogs. The tune of the self talk changed, "I've got plenty of time and energy to get a 30 minute workout in." Thank goodness there are some motivated, optimistic people who took the time to spread their spark, because they inspired me to hit the treadmill for 40 minutes! Hello mojo!

    That is awesome! There are peaks and valleys along our journey but with the help of so many wonderful people on this site, we can do it! So glad to hear that you got your spark back and the encouragement on sparkpeople is absolutely priceless!

    Just spotted your blog. You have motivated me to hit the basement this morning. I have 30 minutes... Really it's mostly getting started, because once I am into a workout I generally forget about the time. I know it makes a difference. I want a good weigh-in this Saturday. Thanks for motivating me.

    Wish I could find that spark but lately I've been so tired that the only thing that has got up and gone is any extra energy for working out.....     Those motivated sparkers have always been a big help to me. Very happy you got your mojo back. You know what to do, just keep it moving now. It is great that you can go on those great hikes being outdoors is a big motivation booster.
