Hey there! Long time no talk but I will go ahead and comment on this vlog (I did watch the other ones though!) It really sounds like you are doing a fabulous job. Don't let other people or the stress of an uncontrollable situation put pressure on you. You are doing great and with your five rules you will be able to manage what you're eating without saying downright "NO" to any one food group or food. I definitely know what you mean about people in your life (family and friends) not being understanding about your fitness and weight loss efforts. In fact, I think I'm going to do a blog about it. It's like if you're not obviously overweight people think they have the right to tell you that you are somehow disordered. Which is, of course, ridiculous. Fitness and healthy living is a constant, day to day, meal to meal choice and if we aren't concentrating on those choices we will fall back into not-so-good habits! Sorry you're friend didn't understand what you were working on.. :/ Anyway, I'm so jealous of your holiday! You're gonna burn a ton of calories skiing anyway! Haha... remember to enjoy the moment and just try to stay focused on your goals without getting too stressed out. Allow yourself the wiggle room of a holiday!

This was an awesome Video Blog - I'm clicking the subscribe button right now emoticon Make no apologies for pursuing your goals. Don't be afraid to be emphatic about stating and restating your goals to your family, and it may be worthwhile to kindly suggest that you're going to pursue those goals with or without their support. People typically feel chastened when they're told that they're doing things to hinder someone else's weight loss goals. I love your goals, and I hope you can stick to them. I wish you good fortune.

Just keep doing what you're doing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with writing down everything you eat. Like you, if I don't write it down, it's like whatever I'm not really keeping track pass the fries and sugary drinks. Good for you for having a plan. And I think everyone deserves a lil chocolate. emoticon

You are so wise to try to pay attn. to what you're eating, etc. while you're so young. This will pay off down the line in the future! If you feel that you can do so much better when you track, make sure that you do it then. These little things that you make important to you now, can stay with you through life and you'll be so glad that you caused yourself to pay attn. to what's the best for you to have a healthy life. More power to you! Enjoy yourself in the meantime too though. That's very important with your family. They'll appreciate you all the more for who you are and for all you're doing with trying to be more healthy. You can be an excellent example! emoticon emoticon

Oh, and as far as what we're planning, we'll just be around home and our dairy farm, taking care of everything and everyone all around us. Happy Holidays to you!! emoticon Karen emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
