Glad that week is over!

I totaled my calories for last week - Monday thru Sunday, and, wow, is my eating just a train wreck right now?! Well, a more accurate assessment would be my eating and DRINKING. Urgh - holiday cheer is going straight to my rear! Between the family dinner last Monday and the office Xmas party on Saturday, I ended up barely breaking even between my calorie intake and my calorie expenditure. I did really well with the eating at the Xmas party - I was proud of my food choices, staying away from the obviously high-calorie stuff and eating a bunch of the fruit I'd brought. But a couple beers and a couple glasses of really nice red wine later, not quite so proud. I need to buckle down fer shure!

On the plus side, I did run 7 miles with a hill climb yesterday, and relatively pain free, so I got that going for me. Slated to run 3 after work and have a sensible dinner, I'll be back on track, hopefully. Couple more weeks of holiday temptations to make my way through, wish me luck!
