According to the results of this quiz, I have a Carefree Food Attitude - I do hope that is a GOOD thing. . . hmmm....
I've always looked at food as 'the necessary' to stay alive. . . though that may have been due to my lack of finesse in the kitchen.
After meeting my hubby, I have learned to cook and also to enjoy food. . .perhaps too much as all of my excess weight began to accumulate about the same time.
The quiz results state:
1. I am "optimistic and realistic" - I do agree with the realistic
2. I "know tomorrow is another chance if I mess up today" - and that is aboslutely true!
I read a lot of posts where peeps are bemoaning a particular failure, despairing over a scale that won't budge and/or criticizing their efforts. . . .and I believe this is such a shame and may create an unnessary roadblock for them.
We all live in the real world where things don't go to plan or we just mess up (sometmes deliberately - well, for me, deliberately). . .I believe time spent focusing on a particular failure is not time well spent.
Don't misunderstand, we need to recognize & score our issues, our failures, our stmbles - whatever word you like best - so that we may learn not to repeat them. . . .but don't stop there.
Move on, move on, move on as quickly as you are able - don't waste a single moment bemoaning. Instead, plan how to move forward and create a work-around to avoid the same or a similar issue in the future.
According to the quiz results, I do need to be careful of "slipping into a carefree state and fail to make dietary changes to reach my goals or maintain my health".
This isn't really anything I've ever considered before but can see the possibility.
Sticking with my motto of "Moderation in all Things" will be my most useful tool, I think. And regular re-evaluation of my progress and my goals to ensure I stay on the right path for me.
