Now it is my turn to do the snow blowing. I have done it before but usually with DH right along side. DH loves to play in the snow.
We have discovered the cold wind on his face causes face pain and a scarf or anything on his face will not work, It still hurts to touch it. After DH comes inside the pain is like a burning sensation so this will have to be my turn to do the driveways. GOOD EXERCISE for sure.
There is a good ray of hope DH was able to sleep with his Bi-Pap machine mask on his face. The silicone is very gentle and DH said it did hurt at times and he awoke but he really was ,missing having his mask to keep him breathing better.
Now he is hoping to be able to wear it from now on. We shall see!! This will be the second night, and hopefully he does even better.
We took a dive to see a friend they live on a lake and have a 2 mile driveway. The entire length was ice covered and it was not a comfortable ride. We did not call ahead if we had they would have come to the road to take us back in their heavy truck. It was only a single car width and so I was concerned another cared would be coming towards us. it did not happen, we only saw one other car ahead of us and he was a resident so he just drove along the road with his bug studded tires.
DH drove right up to the door of the house and that way I was able to get to the steps by holding on to the car. Now we know, others around us have more snow than we do., So from now on CLEATS will be on my shoes or in the car.
All in all we had a good day today. Once we were in the house DH and his friend had a nice long chat. We did not stay long we both knew we had the return journey to get back to the road but it went well also. DH was doing the driving and i was glad he was at the wheel. Off to bed and looking forward to the morning. I am still hoping it will be a few inches , it is always difficult to gauge overnight snow.
