Dec 16 3rd candle of Advent at church was the shepherd candle, the pink candle in many wreaths. The shepherds were out doing their job and were allowed the special messengers [angels] to give them this message of salvation and also to give
them the responsibility of sharing the gospel with others...Are you sharing the good news of Jesus this Advent season?
In our home wreath, the pink candle is lit by the mother and represents LOVE... reminding us to grow in our love towards others... the symbols on the side of the wreath for this week are the lamb of God=His gentleness, peace and love;
joined hands representing the unity within a family;
a lit candle for our faith to light the darkness of sin;
and the bread and wine representing that Jesus is our food and drink...that which sustains us through all of life's joys and trials.
