Today we made another small, but positive, lifestyle change.....little plates.
I have a set of beautiful salad plates and they just got promoted to the adult table! Lunch was served on them and it really made it look like I had a very full plate of food.
My plate contained one chicken thigh, one cup of broccoli, one cup of Brussels sprouts and 1/2 cup of butternut squash seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg. It was a beautiful and delicious plate of goodness. Amazing what our eyes tell our stomach.....
The kids came over for lunch and NO ONE mentioned the small plates.....teeheehee.
I am confident that this small change will have a very large impact on our portion control. I will let you know how this progresses as time passes.
