Their days are numbered...

I have been absent from Spark for a few weeks and haven't tracked in a while, but that's OK. Not much need to track as I have been on a soup diet for way too long now and am not really sure how much of that I even managed to keep down. I am just getting over the crud. It was not the flu but seemed to be everything but...

On a good note, my weight has not fluctuated even though my diet has been so sodium heavy I can't even take my rings off right now. And the weight loss reported before Thanksgiving has even been verified by the doctor's scale...which is almost never kind!

So onward and downward. I wore myself out folding clothes today, so it may be a few days before I get back to the Y, but I am looking forward to the holidays and having a whole week off to focus on fitness.

I have set a deadline for myself to achieve goal weight. It's farther off than my Spark deadline, the intent being to reach and hold my goal for a few months by that date...Mar 1, 2014.

Why this date? Well, kind of a long-ish story. When I hit puberty, apparently the news only made it to one boob. So I had a little more asymmetry than is typical in the 'girls' - one being a solid B and the other an E!!! So at the tender age of 15, I had my first surgery to correct, reducing one to a D and enlarging the other to match. Within six or seven years, so much scar tissue had developed, I had to have the implant replaced. About ten years later, in March 2010, I had to have it replaced again. Our automobile accident in December 2010 caused that one to collapse and now I need a fourth surgery. I am thirty six now - four surgeries in twenty years! What happens in another ten years, twenty, forty?

No, it is time to say goodbye to having to buy swimsuits according to cup size, bras with more than two hooks, and shirts that fit except for that one pesky button. I am having the implant removed completely this time, the larger side reduced to match and then both lifted. Yeah, I will have small(ish) ta-tas when it is all said and done but they will be PERKY!!!

I need to be at whatever weight I will maintain for good when I have the procedure for best results. Since my last surgery was March 2010, I decided my LAST surgery will be March 2014.

I hope you feel better soon. If what you have is similar to what I have, it took at least 2 weeks to start feeling better. Now after 3-1/2 weeks I am just starting to be able to be active again. Hope you get well soon.

I have a similar story but mine involved a tumor at age 11. YIKES! Needless to say, I've had many surgeries throughout the years to keep the girls even. Then once I had kids and gained weight, all heck broke loose! Anyway...good luck with your surgery.

I really hope that the crud leaves for good. We've been dealing with a bit of that here, too, and I'm eager to have it gone!
