A rest day

Saturday, December 15, 2012

Cooper and I walked 6.7 miles today over 3 walks, so I am counting today as a rest day. Compared to the rest of the week that is a definite break. I added up my step count for the week and I walked 155,624 steps. That is a whole heck of a lot!

Lunch with mom and dad was nice today. We had whiting and sauteed veggies on garlic and chive pasta that I bought at the Farmer's Market this morning. I also got a bag of thai basil curry orzo, which is supposedly quite spicy. I can't wait to try it.

I got rid of the chocolates last night. I gave them to my neighbor. Not that she needs them any more than I do. I suggested she put a new label on them and regift them, but knowing her she probably already ate them. (That's not being mean. If there is junk in her house she eats that first.)

My eldest niece is back in town. Hopefully I can convince her to go Christmas shopping with me on Monday. I have a Dr appt that afternoon, so we could go afterward. I thought I would take her out to dinner as well. She is such an interesting young woman. I can't wait until my other nieces are older and having conversations with them gets interesting too. Right now they are a little too giggly for serious discussions.
