Why I Haven't been on Spark Lately.

I was very sick coughing, very swollen in legs and feet. Went to my family Doctor twice. Also seen my pulmongist{lung doctor} too. She thought with taking the predisione I would be okay. Finally Oct 21 I was very sick. My husband called the ambulance.. I was in ICU for 7 days. The lung doctor asked me about going on a respirator; because the BiPaP machine wasn't quite doing the job. I said no; and filled out papers and signed them so it couldn't happen. My chances of getting off the respirator were slim; because of my severe emphymes. Any way it was a blessing that I got that sick. When they took my blood gases out of my artery; They found out I wasn't getting the carbon dioxide out of my body. I was lucky to be alive!! I was in the hospital on 5 floor for 7 days after leaving the ICU. Then I went to manor care for rehab; and to build me back up. I recieved excellent care; and made some new friends that I miss very much!! I was gone for 39 days total. I am having home health care. I have a physical
therapist coming to the house too. I love doing the exerises. It is fun! I bought a recumbent bike. Not an expensive one; it does the job. My physical therapist at manor care reserched it for me. Thought it would be good. It is it got here before I did! LOL. I know the good lord wasn't ready for me yet; because i am writing this. I still have something to do before he takes me home. Thank you for all the prayers!! Keep me in your prayers please.
I have to have a sleep study done Monday; so my insurance will pay for a Bipack machine to sleep with. The hospital loaned me one for manor care; and at home until the insurance approves one.
Their are caring people in this world; or I wouldn't have a Bipack machine to sleep with now. It forces oxygen into my lungs;and helps expel the carbon dioxide from my body. My insurance company has been diffucult!! Keep praying please! Thank you! I am hoping this blog can help
others with copd!! It has been a learning experiene. My chart says "Walking Miracle". Thank you Lord!!
