Woo hoo! I thought I was going to hit 50 pounds lost a week or two ago, but have hit a bit of a snag so far this month (still 100% on plan, but not really losing any weight).
The last 2 days I have increased my calories from 1200ish to 1500ish, changed up my cardio (35+ minutes of rebounding to 45 minutes of Zumba daily), and increased my water from 8 cups to 12 cups, and today, I was actually down a bit of weight (-1.6 for the week)!! It isn't much, BUT it was enough to put me at 50.2 pounds lost since I started on August 4th! I'm almost at my halfway point (53.5), and hopefully I'll get there by January 1st!
It feels wrong to be increasing my calories when I'm struggling to lose weight, but it seems to be working (in conjunction with the exercise change and water increase)! And I must admit, after 4 months of 1200 calories, 1500 calories is kind of nice!! I just need to keep choosing healthy foods for those extra calories (last night, my family ate candy while we played Monopoly... I used my 300 extra calories for greek yogurt and trail mix).
Hopefully this isn't a fluke and the scale keeps going down!! And if I can lose more weight on more calories, well heck yeah!
