The scale moved just a little today, down 2.2 pounds. But that move did a lot for me. It means my hard work is paying off. I am getting healthier every week. I am moving again in my stroll down to 135 pounds. And I don't have to wear my workout pants every were. I can fit in my jeans again.
You wonder what I did to make this darn scale move again, well for one thing I quit eating over my allotment for the day. I ate more fruits and vegetables. I am using Spark recipes for some of the things I like to eat. The recipes are lower in calories and fat. Some of them are lower in salt also. And the best of all they are good!!!
I have shaken up my exercise and am doing my strength training again. I am giving myself little challenges to make my work outs more fun. Today I challenged myself to do 100 jumping jacks. I did it, it was hard toward the end but I can do it. This time last year I doubt I could have done 10. I am exercising and getting stronger every day.
The scale is not the only way I measure how well I am doing on this journey to get healthier. Going from a size 20 jeans to a 10 is one sure way to know I am doing some thing right. Getting off both diabetic medicine and blood pressure medicine shows I am getting healthier.
I feel like a winner today and when my Hubby said today I looked good in my jeans I can confidently say he is right.
