I called it.
My old work had their Christmas party last night, and I went to see some familiar faces. It was disastrous for me (not personally - just food wise). I came extra early to spend some time with the hostess because I haven't seen her for a few weeks and miss her dearly. This meant we started appetizers early. Which meant by the time the main course was out, I opted to... STILL EAT. Oh my goodness. I had macoroni and cheese, quiche, puff pastry, baked brie.. it was all amazing, delectable - and totally fattening.
It was good friends, good food -but my stomach is killing me now. Today for breakfast I took it easy on myself. I had scrambled egg/egg whites + a green smoothie.
Tonight however, I will be visiting family for dinner. We typically just order pizza. I'm not sure how I'll get out of this one. Maybe bring myself a salad?
On a plus side - smokey cheddar is a new fav of mine. I'm a veggie - but my goodness, the mac and cheese I had tasted like there was bacon in it. I may be vegetarian, but I can still appreciate the value of Bacon!
