Day 7: Well yesterday evening was the annual Christmas party full of delicious food. I spent the day at various times visualizing myself taking a small amount of things with lots of veggies if available, enjoying the food I had chosen, throwing my plate away, and focusing on those around me. I think the visualizing really works well for me. By the time I got to the party, my plan was like 2nd nature...I just did it. I didn't feel deprived at all. The main fare this year was PF Changs, so I took an extra helping of broccoli, so that helped. It was a wonderful party and awesome start to the many tests the await me this holiday season. However, of course I had to win the giant nearly 2lb box of mixed chocolates during the Yankee swap. Wonderful...:/

On another positive note...I'm already 1/2 way to my first mini goal. I've lost 4.5 pounds this week! emoticon

Sugar log for today (day 2/7): - very small amount of a dessert everyone at the party was raving about...just enough to get a good taste and not obsess about it all night and 2 squares of chocolate.

Sounds like you are right on track! Its all about portion control as you have done at the Christmas party

Good for you. You seem to have a good handle on how to avoid pitfalls. I wish I could say the same.
