Twelve weeks ago I was selected to take part in the pilot of a wellness program my employer put on. There were two teams of 12. It wasn't a competition or anything like that. The goal was to take the 24 and teach us sustainable wellness, to help us make positive changes in our lives and in our physical well being. We received instruction in fitness (going from almost zero days of fitness to 5 days of fitness was a big leap!), financial wellness, stress management, relaxation practices and the opportunity to have the support of our teams.

I can say, for me, that having the team support and accountability of a weekly weigh in was defintely something I needed. I used to love that about WW (but the $$ always got the better of me).

We did 3 fitness tests- one at the start, one at 6 weeks and one yesterday. Let me tell you I can't believe the difference. I've lost inches, I've lost just shy of 10 lbs, my balance is fantastic, my hand strength has gotten better, I can hold a plank for a minute (versus the 27 seconds 12 weeks ago!) and I even did 20 puships today! I couldn't believe I made it that far!

Now... I need something to help me sustain it. And I think I found it... I'll post about it once it's a bit more concrete... Change is not always comfortable so I feel weird posting about it yet.
