What a week! I had big plans to get my room at work decorated for Hanukkah this week. We have our annual holiday party next week and each room is supposed to be decorated for a different winter holiday. I have Hanukkah and decided to go all out. I even did a week long lesson plan for it. Well, my lesson plan went out the window really quick because we had to move people around quite a bit. Today we were going to paint dreidels and make latkes. Instead my room was closed with my kids spread out in different rooms.

I know it's not really anyone's fault. One woman's mother-in-law passed away yesterday so she had to leave. That's where it started. I ended up moving half of my kids up to the next room so I could take one little boy from a younger room. He made it so I could only have 4 kids, which was nice, but he's at the toy throwing, climb on everything, no talking stage. Made art a little hard to accomplish. Then another lady banged her head and had to go to the emergency room. She was ok'd to work today, but called in anyway. Since I only had a few kids my room was closed so I could cover the one who's MIL passed. Another day of no art to decorate the room. Tomorrow I have all my kids so even if the one calls in again I can't get moved. Hopefully we can get through two paint projects.

I didn't get my sea foam done today because the stress and lack of sleep from this week gave me a migraine so by the time I got home I couldn't do anything. So frustrating! At least tomorrow is Friday. I'll have to do the sea foam tomorrow and dip them this weekend and start the cookies.

My husband decided to buy the gifts for my dad and his. I'm not even sure what it was. He ordered it from a gift catalog. I think it's fudge or something. Why they need fudge with the candy and cookies I'm making I don't know. Oh well, he did come up with a good idea for my mom. A gift card for Barnes & Noble since I don't know what books she needs and she doesn't need more yarn or knitting supplies.

On the positive side, I have two pairs of jeans I now need a belt for. 995 fitness minutes before the 31st. I can do it!

There are so many things that can go wrong. Sometimes we have to choose our battles. If I can suggest something, why do you 'have to' make the sea foam tomorrow? Can you skip it? You're already making so many goodies, is it the end of the world if you skip one to save yourself some sanity and stress?

I hope tomorrow goes better for you. Nothing like the holidays to cause our stress levels to rise, huh?

Seriously? But Hannukah's almost over! I hope you don't have any little Jewish kids feeling left out!

I hope you get rid of the migraine. Those are so totally not fun! And I hope the lady who banged her head is back tomorrow. She may have a headache, too, poor thing.

995 fitness minutes in 18 days? I'll be rooting for you! emoticon
