I have a computer that works again. Although I used my time without it wisely it sure is nice to be Sparking once more. I plan to spend some time this weekend catching up with everyone. As for me, here's the latest.
Weigh in this week was a complete bust. No loss what so ever! Oh well, sometimes that happens so I will not let it get me down. I have been doing well so far and therefore will keep my focus on that.
DH and I have finished decorating the inside of our house for the holidays and bought our tree. It's up and ablaze with colored lights, silver garland and Disney ornaments. Our grandson's Disney Monorail runs around underneath. I will attempt to take some decent pictures of the tree and house, inside and out this weekend and post.
In other news we had a scare concerning our daughter last week. She developed upper chest and back pain that wouldn't go away. She had no other symptoms, and her behavior that night was "normal" for her. Anyway she ended up in the ER while DH and I took care of our grandson. After running a barrage of tests they found nothing of concern. Her heart, blood pressure, lungs and blood work all came back with excellent results. I'm thinking it was stress related as her dad and I also found out that night her doctor had put her on a BP medication 2 months ago because she is experiencing anxiety in regards to her college exams. Her doctor explained to her at that time he didn't want to give her something that would make her loopy and a low dose BP med will help with anxiety without side effects. She takes it as needed. Anyway she seems fine now. Although I must admit she has become increasingly angry and high strung since she was a teen and is always ready to strike at a moment's notice, usually at ME.

So I wouldn't be surprised if she was experiencing physical symptoms related to this.
DH and I had a great time at the movies with our grandson last week. We saw the new Guardians movie and it was very good. My grandson was on the edge of his seat the whole time and absolutely loved it! Afterwards we went to the bookstore and I bought him the book. I know I know, Christmas is just a short time away but I couldn't resist. Besides, the day he was born, SPOILING became part of my DNA.

Nevertheless I do try to remember not to go too overboard.
Yesterday we took the little guy Christmas shopping for his mom. He selected a pair of small loop sterling silver earrings. Simple but nice. He also picked up a Car Care Kit for his Pepa, my husband. We also bought toys for the Angel Tree and Toys for Tots programs and dropped them off. I think it's important for him to know Christmas isn't just about getting presents but doing nice things for others too. Unfortunately this is a message he does not receive from either parent. Anyway afterwards we took him to ride the Christmas Train at the mall, and to see some holiday lights before having dinner and delivering him back home. Next week, we will join him on a visit to see Santa, view Christmas Lights at the lake and to see the display of Gingerbread Houses at the Grove Park along with his mom and her boyfriend Dan.
As for Christmas shopping in general I have only 2 more gifts and stocking stuffers to get. Go ME! Of course I still have cards to get out, presents to wrap, cookies to bake, pies to make and a gingerbread house of my own to create with the help of my grandson, not to mention Christmas dinner on the big day.

So I'm guessing the next 11 days will be FULL and FUN!
Have an awesome weekend everyone! Keep Sparking!!
