The eternal optimist
Thursday, December 13, 2012
Starting tomorrow, I've got 19 days off work.
Wowee! How on earth will I fill the time, I thought to myself.
I want to spring clean my flat, dig the garden (a month-long task in itself, even if it weren't the middle of winter and boggy out there), repaint a couple of rooms, CLEAR OUT all my cupboards, get rid of some stuff, make a skirt, knit two woolly hats, watch all my Allo Allo DVDs and get my mindset ready for a great 2013.
And the rest . . . I've promised myself a visit to the gym or two hours' walking every day. Except Sunday which I'll spend mostly on a train to Cornwall, so I'll have to make it up on Monday. Apart from Christmas eve and Christmas day I'm going to stay on track. I'm going to remember to take my blood pressure tablets (onnist!) and . . .
I AM GOING TO DRINK TWO LITRES OF WATER A DAY! FOR 19 DAYS!!!
In the nearly six months I've been on SP, I've managed to drink two litres of water about four times. Today I've had one cup of tea, one cup of coffee and one cup of water. My flat is permanently littered with half drunk drinks. You could call me an optimist, because my glass is always half full. Curse it.
Despite this last, I am determined to catch up on lots of sleep. So I'm thinking catheter, gazunder . . . I certainly aint getting up in the middle of the night, not while the weather's this cold.
A frozen asset is the last thing I want.
