Where have you been?

Thursday, December 13, 2012

I didn't fall off the edge of the earth. I haven't been slacking. I've been "pretty good" about food... as good as one could expect with the holidays.

Just a motivational story today.

Yesterday, I went upstairs to meet the new admin person. One of my coworkers introduced me and referred to me as, "the girl that I told you about that runs at lunch". My knee jerk reply was, "oh, not today, I'm sick."

I went back to my desk and thought about my response. I'm sick? Monday, I was tired. Tuesday, I had too much to do. When will the cycle end?? So 12 rolled around, I got my shoes and tights on and headed to the cemetary to run. I am having pretty bad vertigo with this head cold, so I decided that if it was THAT bad, I would just walk.

I walked my typical 5 minutes then gave running a shot. Ran 2 miles at my normal pace and a half mile cool down. Not too bad for the sick girl! And it did make me feel better.

I went back to the office and went back to the coworker that had introduced me. I thanked her for saying that and told her why.

I guess I needed a little kick in the butt.

BTW, can you believe Jane is going to be a year on the 27th? Oh my, where does time go??

love!
Janette
