Paleo Diet Day 30: Picked up good books on diet

So the other day we got a free copy of "The Virgin Diet" in the mail, by JJ Virgin. The subtitle is "Why Food Intolerance is the REAL Cause of Weight Gain." I also just got from the library, on the recommendation of a Spark friend, "The Coconut Oil Miracle" by Bruce Fife. We already eat and cook with coconut oil but I'm sure there's lots more to learn about it. "The Virgin Diet" is a recent book and I'm curious to see what new insights the author has to offer. I look forward to learning from both sources.

In the meantime, after a long and stressful day at work, I can't decide whether I want to read Sports Illustrated or "The Hobbit" - which represents the greater fantasy? emoticon

Food today: I was determined to get in my run at the gym (did two miles) so I had to grab some fast and lower-grade sliced turkey. Oh well, it was still meat and not bologna. Had that with carrots and sprouts for lunch. Dinner was a deli roasted chicken, green beans and sweet potatoes (frozen mix), and red wine.

I guess 30 days of Paleo is something worth celebrating, eh? emoticon
