I'm not complaining but now I understand a little bit better

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Being a plus-sized woman I never understood how anyone could be frustrated with being able to wear different size jeans (sometimes by the same label). Well, now I understand.

When I started my journey I wore a size 18 jeans, my first drop to size 16 was wonderful. Next stop, size 14. I got to that point and then on the short trip to size 12. I'm happy that I can fit in size 12... actually I told someone I don't think I've worn a size 12 since I was 12 (not really that much of an exaggeration).

I was out of town and ran into Sam's Club. I've found that not every store carries all the same merchandise, foods pretty much so, other stuff (clothes, household goods, pet stuff, etc) not so. I found a pair of teal blue jeans by Bandolino that my Sam's didn't have. I picked up a pair in size 12 since my other Bandolino denim jeans are a 14 and fit well but my new Lee denim jeans are size 12. When I got home I tried on the 12's, they have a big gap at the back of the waistband so they are too big (hahaha, I never thought a 12 would be too big). When I was in my Sam's they had the same Bandolino jeans in dark purple (oooh... purple) which I picked up in size 10! OMG - a 10! and they fit! pick me up off the floor! or as Stacy London would say "Shut Up!"

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining but... now when I go to try on jeans I'm going to have to take 2 or 3 different sizes in to see what number fits.

Congratulations on that awesome feeling! It's a nice problem to have. I'd have been happier with the purple anyway, like you!
