A dear friend is a poet and performance poet who lives in North Carolina. He sent this email out to celebrate 12 -12 -12. I know he won't mind my sharing it with you.
It’s Dozen-Dozen-Dozen day. The coolest day to date.
It comes just once a century, so let’s all celebrate
a dozen-dozen-dozen ways, before it’s way too late.
Now place a dozen-dozen-dozen portions on your plate:
A dozen cakes. A dozen laughs. A dozen faucet leaks.
A dozen hugs. A dozen hikes. A dozen mountain peeks.
A dozen-dozen kisses, on a dozen rosy cheeks.
A dozen bare feet muddied in a dozen muddy creeks.
A dozen-dozen-dozen books are waiting to be read.
It’s Dozen-Dozen-Dozen day! Don’t waste the day in bed.
(Next Dozen-Dozen-Dozen Day, you’ll be a dozen dead.)
Make every day a Dozen Day, and celebrate instead.
