So last night I went out to dinner with some family from back east. I haven't gone to this buffet restaurant in a few years. It has been one of my favorite places to eat since they opened over ten years ago. I wasn't sure how I would handle it. I planned to eat only small portions of my favorite foods and nothing else. Well, I got my first plate and to my surprise, it wasn't over filled. When I started eating, I noticed that my food didn't taste as good. It tasted exactly like it always had, but I wasn't enjoying it. I didn't eat everything on my plate but went back to try a few things I had never eaten like crayfish. Nope. Not liking it. I didn't eat hardly anything off that plate. So I decided to get desert. I got all the old favorites. They didn't taste good to me either so I didn't eat them. I went home feeling full but I knew that I hadn't over-eaten. I now have no desire to eat there. I realize that my tastes have changed for the better, like magic!

Good job! Buffets are hard. I've had some success at eating at them, but last Saturday I went to one and completely failed.
