The sun came out today and although it was brisk outdoors, I decided my workout would be something beneficial in more ways than one.
During the past week or so, one of hubby's workmates gave us 25 or 30 of those huge black lawn bags full of leaves from their yard.
For the past 4 years, I have been unable to help with much of anything to help with the outdoor project. I was so out of shape and my shoulder so messed up that I was not allowed to pick up a rock during the pond 'remodel'. Physical therapy didn't help me a bit, but my chiropractor and his massage therapist (a 70 year old Japanese man who does Chinese torture!) have worked wonders on me. Those two together with this SparkPeople program, have put me back in the game!
So, I loaded 2 or 3 bags in our big wheelbarrow and moved them to the back side of the yard then dumped and spread the leaves around my fairy garden (still under construction) and the deep woods area we put in this summer.
Then I loaded the wheelbarrow with firewood and brought it in for the night.
For that hour, I worked harder and sweated more than I have with any of the workouts I've done.
Yes, I am tired, but I feel great. And what an accomplishment for me!
Hubby will not believe it! How fun!!!
