Trading one goal for another greater one

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Since Nov. 26th I have been either the hospital or a full time rehabilitate Center. I had full knee replacement one one knee and went to a full rehabilitate facility. That worked great. On Monday I got the second knee replaced and will go back to rehabilitate another time. This knee should heal faster. Everything is going so well except that I lost a lot of blood and was transfused each time and put a diet to build me up which has also led to gaining weight back. However I am going to be much better able to exercise now. Thanks for all of your encouragement and prayers.

Healthy is much more important. Remember that. And since I went in literally twice your size? DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!! Once your blood is built back up, and you are able to get back out and about, the weight will melt right off. Just imagine a sunset walk on the beach with your husband and puppy! YOU GO GIRL! emoticon

My brother-in-law had a knee replacement about 2 years ago. He is due for his other knee.

Both he and his wife are dreading it.

Glad you can get some rehabilitation! emoticon

It might be an idea to ask whoever is in charge of the diet at the rehab center what is a good weight for you if they know. Sometimes it isn't important to be skinny and more important to be healthy as long as the weight isn't way up!

Slow and steady! I hope the rest of your recovery goes well.
